Religious Education

Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

Psalms 119:73

Our Purpose - Parents are the primary and most important teachers of our Catholic faith.  The purpose of our Religious Education program is to assist you as parents in performing this sacred obligation to which you have committed yourselves.

On the day of your child's Baptism, the celebrant asked you, "What do you ask of God's Church for your child?"  Your answer, "Baptism."
The celebrant continued with these words:  You have asked to have your child baptized.  In doing so you are accepting the responsibility of training him/her in the practice of the faith.  It will be your duty to bring him/her up to keep God's commandments as Christ taught us, by loving God and our neighbor.  Do you clearly understand what you are undertaking?

And you responded, "We do."

With those two small words, you committed yourselves to train your child in the practice of the small promise.

We are committed to help you keep your promise.
